I decide to write a series of "Why We Need ***" posts. This series will focus on home-use electronical appliance which are new but useful for families. I've introduced Water Tanks and Vaporizers in the last two weeks. Do you think they have already improved your life?

This week's protagonist is Blender. When I was in my high school and live with my parents, I remember daddy get up early every morning and use a blender to make soya-bean milk for  breakfast. That's my very first memory of a blender: just a soya-bean milk maker.

对普通人来说，珠穆朗玛是一个无法企及的高度。而围绕着珠峰的传言也时不时袭来：某某人登山途中失踪，某某人坠入雪崩丧命。这种种的新闻和小道消息，让我的心目中的珠峰成为了一个神圣然而令人生畏的代名词。

有这么一个人，他说”我恨珠峰“，但又魂牵梦绕，甚至把他儿子的名字也取名为”登登“。他对于珠峰的感情爱恨交织，爱得深，恨得切。他是夏伯渝，在33年前第一次登珠峰时不幸失去了双腿。

尽管残疾，但夏的珠峰梦从未就此罢休，33年来，他一直为之准备和奋斗。现在，他终于接近了这个看上去遥不可及的梦想！虽然双脚靠假肢支撑，虽然受到癌症困扰，但年近六旬的夏老人得到了一个机会：“2008华硕珠峰志愿者行动”，坚强的他终于重返阔别33年的珠峰，登上了珠峰大本营！

这是顽强生命的又一次怒放，是对梦想的又一次注解。夏老，真棒！

Last week, I introduced water tanks and discussed the topic: "why we need water tanks". This time, let switch our attention to vaporizer, another household appliance.

What's vaporizer? When I first hear of it, I also confused. With the help of search engine, I know it's a new appliance which have been used by ordinary family for just years. But definitely, it's a must have electric appliance for better life.

Water tanks first emerged while human still in the beginning of civilized period. They were usually used to store water for human consumption, such as the storage of drinking water potable, irrigation agriculture, fire suppression, and livestock. Later on, people extended the usages as for chemical manufacturing, food preparation and many other applications.

Nowadays, people have far more ways to get clean water. Almost every family has tap water and it's also very convinient to buy bottles of water in supermarket or small stores.
