Wandering in the campus of PKU, I’m amazed by its atmosphere of freedom and diversity. Antique constructions stands side by side with modern buildings, foreigners walk hand in hand with Chinese students. You will never feel bored with hundreds of courses to choose from, various activities to join in, quantities of new knowledge to learn, and numerous new friends to make.

As I see it, diversity is the core of university’s spirit. Diversity is the spring of vigor for it encourages and embraces all sorts of life style. Diversity is the foundation of democracy for it endows everyone the equal rights to make decisions in their own favor. Diversity is the reason of creation for it enables different thoughts to coexist and merge. In a word, in PKU, diversity creates harmony.
