社团迎新会上，大家兴高采烈地进行ice-breaking，主要的交流集中在故乡这个主题上。每个人说出自己家乡时，人群中总是“哦……”的一声，意思说，就哪儿呀，我熟。然后就进入“常识显摆”环节。“你是湖北人啊？黄鹤楼是你们那儿的吧，三峡真壮观呀，神农架真有野人吗？”湖北友人大喜过望，“真是‘他乡遇故知’啊，我是荆州人那，孙叔敖墓就在我们那儿啊。”对方顿时一脸迷茫，边做艳羡表情边在心里盘算：孙叔敖是谁呀？接不上茬，这段谈话就结束了。全体转向下一目标，发现内蒙mm一名，全体惊呼：“大草原美啊”“蓝天白云骏马”云云。也就此没了下文。

       不知道其他人的想法，我为自己的常识水平感到尴尬。我不能容忍别人将我的故乡名胜标签化，地缘性格脸谱化，但我对别人故乡的了解也超不出初中地理的水平。

       极其有限的常识往往来自一下几个途径：

1．  教科书。它们为了简洁而只挑最重要的介绍。

2．  团体旅游。它们为了让游客看到他们认为最具含金量的景点而将线路严格划定在名胜的连线上。

3．  本地人。他们为了最快地激起认同而强调其知名度最高的自然与人文。

   常识匮乏隐藏着绝阅读对化的风险，绝对化则是偏见的沃土。今天做阅读时看到了反对定线旅游的一些经典评论，就抄录下来吧：

       The sad thing about conducted tours is that it leads to the persistence of national stereotypes.We don’t see the people of other nations as they really are,but as we have been brought uo to believe they are.So when you set on your travels,the only characteristics you notice are those which confirm your preconceptions.

You only have to make foreign friends to understand how absurd and harmful stereotypes are.Carried to an extreme,stereotypes can be positively dangerous.Wild generalizations stir up racial hatred and blind us to the basic fact-how trite it sounds-that all pesple are human,We are all similar to esch other and at the same time all unique.
