I wondered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once i saw a crowd,
A host,of golden daffodils;

They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw i at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they

A Poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch i lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

赏析：
《水仙花》是威廉.华兹华斯浪漫主义诗歌的代表作。其口语化的语言是浪漫主义风格的一大特点。文笔朴素清新，自然流畅。这首诗歌强调了诗人对大自然的热爱以及回忆的重要性。

威廉.华兹华斯（William Wordsworth,1770-1850）,英国诗人，他与科尔律治（Samuel Taylor Coleridge），骚塞（Robert Southey）同被称为“湖畔派”诗人（Lake Poets）。其诗歌一反新古典主义平板，典雅的风格，开创了新鲜活波的浪漫主义诗风。其最重要的全集《抒情歌谣集》于1798年与科尔律治共同发表，宣告了浪漫主义新诗的诞生。他于1843年被授予桂冠诗人。
《水仙花》在英国深受广大学生喜爱。在英国华兹华斯基金会2004年组织的背诵活动中，超过26万名的英国中学生同时背诵此一首诗，创造了同时背诵一首诗人数最多的新世界记录。
