今年的Google出了两款产品，一是Wave,其二是Chrome OS。两款产品颇有雷声大雨点小的意味，而且都与现有的自身产品形成竞争的关系。
同样作为沟通工具Wave与Gmail,同样都算是惊世骇俗的产品。Gmail颠覆了传统免费邮件的观念：容量大、好用而且免费的特性自然不必多说。Gmail的成功还在于与Google的其他应用很好的融合。可以在Gmail的页面里面完成与GTalk的融合，邮件里面的DOC、PPT以及Execl的附件都可以在Google Doc打开并且编辑和共享。更重要的是Gmail使得与原本没有账号体系的Google有了统一认证的基础。与其说Gmail是一款邮件产品，倒不如说是将Google众多产品串成一条精美项链的那根线。如果说Gmail还遵循着现有的邮件协议，GTalk遵循着IM的一般规律，那么Wave的出现算是颠覆现有的协议次序的产品。尽管Google偏执的认为“现代”的邮件系统就应该是Wave这样的产品，但没有流畅体验的产品，需要安装额外软件或者指定浏览器的产品除了GFans卖帐以外，又能颠覆了什么？更重要的是Wave没有像Gmail那样去串起Google的现有产品。或许在Gmail和GTalk的基础上扩展Wave的功能更容易锦上添花，而不是现在的建筑于空中的Wave楼阁。
同样作为操作系统的Android和Chrome OS算是Google在Web领域外的一次拓展。Android经过一年多的发展算是羽翼丰满，如此的发展速度使得微软也不得不担心Windows Mobile的未来。况且Android已经不仅仅是一款手机操作系统，基于该系统的MID设备已有成熟的产品上市。Android虽说不是为PC设计的操作系统，但如果稍加改良，占据上网本操作系统的一定份额应该也不算太奢侈的想法。Chrome浏览器一直只有Windows版本的软件（虽然私下有流传Chrome Linux版本浏览器版本的Beta版），但在Linux系统上却一步登天成了操作系统，这样跃进足可以前缀一个"大"字来修饰。可惜Chrome OS现在的情况看来瞄准的并不是Windows在PC市场的份额，而是家中大哥Andorid在MID和Notebook上刚刚开拓的市场。所以Chrome OS没吓到微软，倒是将了Andy Rubin（Android公司的创始人）一军。
唯一的好处是对于Google推广chrome浏览器倒是有些帮助，wave需要chrome浏览器或者安装chrome frame,Chrome OS本身就是web浏览器。希望一切都是杞人忧天。

我觉得谷歌在中国最应该做的事情就是把它的主业–搜索推广开，因为在中国的搜索里面，他占的不到10%，另外90%是百度的。
