Pagliari’ s work is a synthesis of many different disciplines: painting (he admits influence of Hopper), literature, film and philosophy (influenced by Japan and the haiku) shake hands in images that see beyond the “established” reality (representation/reproduction of reality) and project the viewer into the “non space” of poetic vision and revelation. The mystery that runs through the images transports the audience into the blind corner of the spirit that needs poetry and enlightenment to express its deepest doubts, fears and desires. He looks straight into beauty and decadence, into the furtiveness of our passage on earth. In this context, Pagliari is a painter of the spirit, a “photosopher” who, in the silence of intuition, meets images that become lighting signs on the path of life.
