I don’t agree with you!
I got The Practice of Programming Chinese version in 2001. I found it’s interesting and translation is also good. I read the whole book and found no difficulty to grasp the meaning. So I think there is no apparent problem in Chinese version. And I think the the whole “style” in the book is consistent, so I think Prof. Qiu must have devoted himself/herself? in all the chapters in this book.

As for the words in “The Mythical Man Month”, I don’t think there is any problem. That’s just a kind of style. And the chinese words for this clause is very clear for understanding.

As for the Chinese name of “The Mythical Man Month” itself, I think Mr. Qiu’s translation is at least correct. It’s the most direct translation of “The Mythical Man Month”, at least in syntax. Of course, the “Ren Yue Shen Hua” is a more graceful name, but not honest to the orginal.

There are so many unworty-of-translator here, but not include Mr Qiu.

I fully understand what you are angry for. But don’t show your anger to those we should have shown our respect.
