From betamail:
We are pleased to announce that Microsoft?Windows Server SP1 and Windows XP
x64 Edition Technical Beta Program, IDW build 1421 is now available for
download at http://windowsbeta.microsoft.com.
Note - This build is an interim build and as such not the same quality as beta
release. It is recommended that you only install this on test machines.
There will be no DDK or SDK released for this build. You should not use the RC1
SDK or DDK with build 1421.
German, English, and Japanese languages are available on the US download site.
They will be propagated to the international sites over the next few days. Some
versions of Windows available for the Release Candidate will not be available
for this interim release.
Before you begin, please note the following:
1. You may upgrade to this build from a released or evaluation version of
Windows Server 2003. We strongly recommend that you back up your files and
install this build only in a test environment.
2. The "Stand-Alone" for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 does not
have a time-bomb.
3. Microsoft?Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 interim builds are not
recommended for production systems.
4. Due to the nature of pre-release software, some of your applications and
hardware may not function correctly.
Review the pre-release license agreements carefully during the installation.
By installing this release, you agree to the terms and conditions of these
license agreements. All licenses associated with the product will expire when
the product becomes commercially available.
Product Keys:
The product key needed to install depends on which version of the service pack
you install.
If you are applying the update package to an existing Windows Server 2003
installation regardless of processor type no new product key is required.
For x64 builds newer than 1218, you will need to obtain a product key from the
WindowsBeta website.
Testers who wish to install the slipstream release of the 32bit Enterprise
Server must obtain a new Eval key from the WindowsBeta Website. This new
product key will work with all versions of the Code Coverage build past and
future.
* Note that the product keys for x86 and x64 versions are different. You will
need to obtain a key for each.
For all IA64 versions use KV9B7-TYRVP-G74HT-YYBXT-4YG63
